Build Week - June 17-21, 2009
There are three shifts per day: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., and 5:30 p.m - 9:00 p.m. Volunteers should report promptly to the registration tent in Hopewell Park a few minutes before their shift begins. They should come dressed for the weather in comfortable, old clothes and sturdy shoes or boots (no sandals or clogs). Also, they should bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and head gear (for sun or rain).
OPENING CELEBRATION !!!!!! - June 21, 2009
At the conclusion of build week, there will be an "Opening Celebration" on Sunday, June 21, approximately 6:00 p.m. at Hopewell Park. Everyone is invited to see the new one-of-a-kind playgrounds. Children will be invited to play on the equipment for a short while (provided it has been completed and inspected.) The playgrounds will be closed on Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23, to allow time for safety inspections and construction site clean-up.
